Original Handpainted Contemporary Horse Oil Painting Portrait With Gold Leaf

This unique piece of art showcases a beautiful horse portrait, hand-painted by me on a gold leaf gilded canvas. The painting measures 60cm in length and 90cm in height, with a width of 3cm, making it a large and striking addition to any space.

I first began this artwork by carefully gilding the canvas with gold leaf and then coating the gold leaf in a clear protective gloss. I then used high quality Windsor and newton oil paints to create the horse portrait. I have included a photograph of the painting process in the listings photos.
